What is your most recent book? Tell us a bit about it. Actually, there have been two kinds of recent books, very different from each other. The first was a translation of a 19th century detective story, Monsieur Lecoq, by Emile Gaboriau, and the second, SERVANTS ON HORSES, a novel about the Creek Indians of Alabama and Georgia before the Indian Removal Act of   Civil servants feel that their advice is not heeded, while politicians feel that the permanent government undermines them with poor performance. They are all right and they are all wrong.

Nelly, a servant of the Earnshaws, represents the lower middle class — those who worked non-manual labor. Servants were superior to manual laborers, which explains the problems created by Heathcliff. Heathcliff is an orphan; therefore, his station is below everyone else in Wuthering Heights. It was unheard of to raise someone from the working. Some real-life servants are treated badly by their rich employers, but many fictional servants are treated nicely by their authors. A small, wish-fulfilling solace for readers in this time of soaring economic inequality. Literature's servants and other "hired help" are often smarter, funnier, and more compassionate than their "betters." Perhaps that's partly because they have.

Creeds have long played an important part in the history of the Church. The early church met at councils to discuss important doctrinal issues directly related to the work of Christ, the Trinity and more. Since creeds have played a huge role in helping Christians and the Church to fight against heresy and define orthodoxy from the Bible it goes to reason that some people may question the role.   Question: "What does the Bible say about being a servant / servanthood?" Answer: The Bible has a great deal to say about servanthood because the central theme of the Bible is the Servant of all—Jesus Christ. “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many” (Mark ).
